Why Engage Us

Trying to choose an appropriate financial advisor can seem like an overwhelming challenge. There are a bewildering array of choices in the market place that can lead to confusion and apprehension.

Most business owners know intuitively they need professional help managing their money. But they don’t know who or what type of firm is right for them? That's why we've partnered with B2B CFO; to take the guesswork out of finding and engaging a trustworty financial advisor.

Consider engaging us if you value:

Independence - We are a truly independent firm with no agenda’s or quotas to fill. That independence means we are able to focus solely on what’s most important to you. Our relationship with Raymond James Financial Services, Inc. is as an independent contractor. In essence Raymond James works for us, providing access to the products and services we need to empower you to accomplish your goals.

Transparency - Since we are a fee-for-service firm you know what you’re paying in return for the services rendered. We believe that aligning our compensation with your success is a strong motivator for us to work hard for your benefit on a continual basis.

Reasonable Expectations - The financial markets move up and down continually. Some periods yield unusually high returns while others disappoint us with below average results. This is a fact of life and we can’t change it. But what we can do is use disciplined investment strategies designed to generate the best possible returns without taking unnecessary risks. We do not promote “hot” stock tips or exotic, unintelligible investments. We believe, and our experience has shown, that a steady, disciplined investment strategy with reasonable expectations is a winning strategy over time.

Communication - We believe staying in touch over time is very important. You want, and need to know what’s happening with your account and the financial markets on a regular basis. Normally we meet with clients quarterly or semi-annually personally or via telephone to review and update their accounts. In addition we have an in-house newsletter that’s mailed out approximately every six weeks. Of course you can contact us anytime with issues or concerns. But if we don’t hear from you, you will hear from us, regularly.

Collaboration - We don’t know everything, but of course nobody does. That’s why we believe it’s important to communicate and collaborate with your existing advisors like your CPA, attorney, insurance agent, etc. so we can provide the best overall value for you. Our training extends well beyond investment management so we can work effectively with your tax and legal team. Of course we have relationships with these professionals if you don’t already have a satisfactory relationship established.

Training and Experience - Unlike CPA’s or attorney’s who must meet rigorous training requirements, virtually anyone can hang out a shingle as a “financial consultant”. We believe professional training coupled with hands-on experience is vital to our ability to serve our clients effectively. In addition to state and federal licensing requirements our advisors must have earned a professional designation such as Certified Financial Planner (CFP) or Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). These designations require a minimum of three years of experience along with passing rigorous exams.

Your “Gut” Feelings - We offer an initial, complimentary consultation via phone or in person so potential clients can get to know us better. Human beings have an amazing capacity to “sense” if a relationship is right for them or not. Listen to your intuition. If you do the odds are good you’ll make a wise decision.
